If you've seen the movie, and remember it, you may recall the line "I was checking out some daisies." as the reason for "Max"s crash.

Now, David Wenham who I adore no end is nicknamed Daisy ...

I seriously doubt the two are related but Daisy *was* given the name as a kid so Max, who can time travel, may well hav been peeking ahead at his future.
